Bicycle day pass

There is a charge for taking a bicycle on S-Bahn trains, U-Bahn trains and on approved regional trains in the MVV. In addition to your own ticket, you need a bicycle day pass.

Blocking times

Please note that bicycles are only allowed to be taken on board during certain times. These closing times apply:

  • Mondays to Fridays from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. (excluding public holidays)
  • Mondays to Fridays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (excluding public holidays) - not applicable during school holidays

The blocking times do not apply to baggage cars and multi-purpose compartments of regional trains.

Toddler bike up to 12.5 inch and folding/folding bike

Infant bicycles up to and including 12.5 inches and folded folding bicycles may also be transported on buses and streetcars. In this compact state, they do not need a ticket and no blocking times apply. In individual cases, the operating staff decides.

 

Bicycle with tire size up to 20 inch

Bicycles up to and including 20-inch tires can be transported free of charge in suburban and subway trains and in approved regional trains if the design of the means of transport permits it, the space is not required for passenger transport and there is no reduction in traffic safety. The operating personnel will decide in individual cases. The blocking times must be respected.

 

Tandem

You can also take a tandem on the S-Bahn and in the baggage cars and multi-purpose compartments of regional trains. To do so, buy a day ticket for bicycles and follow the blocking times.
